Packaged in sets of 3, each pack contains a small square wrap, a large square wrap and one large round wrap. The people and planet friendly alternative to clingfilm, tinfoil and many other harmful food packing products. All of the beeswax is sourced locally, supporting local Kenyan beekeepers, and all of the fabric is recycled cotton – giving it a second life, avoiding the carbon footprint of manufacturing new and saving it from ending up in a rubbish dump.
How to use:
Use the warmth of your clean hands to mold the beeswax wraps over a piece of food, bowl, dish – anything you would normally cover with cligfilm or tinfoil. Stretch to cover leftovers in bowls, dips or salads. Wrap chopped veggies, sandwiches and cheese. THe wrap will hold it’s seal once it starts to cool down. It will keep your cheese, fruit, veggies, bread, baked goods and herbs. It will even keep your fermented foods such as kombucha, kefir and rising doughs nice and fresh! Not reccommended for direct use with raw meat, soft cheese or fish. Place these items in a bowl and cover, without letting the wrap touch. Don’t use with hot stuff! The wax will melt. Allow to cool first.
Made from 100% cotton, beeswax, pine resin and jojoba oil.
Care:
Wash with cold water and mild dishwashing soap. Do not submerge. Hang to dry. Store folded or flat in a drawer or basket.
Beeswax wraps can last up to 9-12 months if cared for properly. Roll up as a fire starter or throw into your compost when aged! Less plastic for our fragile planet.
